OCMT has been holding MT conferences online for ten years! In this episode, Members of the OCMT Board share advice and insight for Conferences switching to virtual formats this year and in the future. The next Online Conference for Music Therapy will be February 6, 2021.

The OCMT- Online Conference for Music Therapy is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides educational online events relevant to the field of Music Therapy. OCMT fulfills its mission in three ways:

  1. Hosting the annual online conference which is always held the first weekend of February.
  2. Putting on a variety of short symposia events that are held throughout the year.
  3. Consulting with international music therapy organizations who want to offer online conference events.

The OCMT started as a small innovative project in 2010, and grew to be the only 24-hours, livestream international conference, which connects professionals from all parts of the world. The OCMT board of directors are: Faith Halverson-Ramos, the executive director (USA), Aksana Kavaliova-Moussi, co-chair (Bahrain, Canada), Mary Jane Landaker, treasurer, continuing education (USA), Michelle Sieben Doree, secretary (USA), Natalie Jack, communication and PR (Australia).
