Ami Kunimura, MA, MT-BC is the founder of The Self-Care Institute and is a board-certified music therapist. Ami provides therapeutic support for professionals around the world who are experiencing burnout, and has presented on self-care and burnout at international events and conferences. Ami has been a board-certified music therapist since 2006, and runs a private practice in Los Angeles specializing in mental health, trauma, and addictions treatment. Ami also teaches as a lecturer at UCLA and is an adjunct graduate faculty member at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Ami is the author of Resilience Over Burnout: A Self-Care Guide for Music Therapists, and the creator and facilitator of Resilience Over Burnout: A Self-Care Program, a 31 CMTE credit online program that guides professionals out of burnout and stress cycles through research-based self-care practices.
